Updated March 19, 2020

By now you are beginning to get a clearer picture of how this COVID-19 pandemic is going to impact our ability to meet together. When we watched Dustin, Greg, Kate and Ken encourage us on video, with song and the Word, we were touched by the poignancy of the songs chosen and message given, but also how much we missed worshiping together with you. We all really miss you.

Let’s get right to what will change over the next few weeks and possibly longer. As we hunker down, we must always be looking up and reaching out! We will get through this by His power and grace.

We are canceling all corporate meetings and ministries through April 4th and moving to a technology heavy format for the short term.

  • WEEKLY BULLETIN and RBC Website will be key sources of information and will reflect all updates and changes so you can be informed.
    • We are working to provide a live stream on YouTube. Until technical logistics are worked out, we will continue uploading video sermons to our website: http://rchapel.org/sermons/
    • Families registered with our Student Ministries will receive weekly e-mails containing devotions/lessons tailored for each age group.
  • Arise Groups will have an online meeting format to join. Information will follow later this week.
    • We have a team of people that will be reaching out each week to check in, encourage, pray and meet needs.
    • Gerard will be available for crisis counseling.
    • Because of job loss, reduction in pay or elderly sheltering to limit the risk of infection, we encourage you to reach out to the deacons by calling Matt at 201-803-2313 or Greg at 201-906-0098. We can assist in food costs, shopping and financial needs.
    • We want to ensure that RBC is in a position to financially assist those who find themselves in a position of need. We do not desire financial gifts from a sense of guilt or obligation, but we believe that giving as an important spiritual discipline that will bless our congregation both spiritually and practically. Here’s the link with options to give. http://rchapel.org/giving.
    • Online giving can be done through PayPal or most banks’ “bill pay” feature.
    • Checks can be mailed to:
      • Rutherford Bible Chapel
      • PO Box 5
      • Rutherford, NJ 07070

We understand that with many changes comes questions and concerns. We encourage you to reach out. The RBC family is here for you and we will continue to seek the Lord’s wisdom in navigating this time.
