What is Emmaus Prison Ministry?

The Emmaus Prison Ministry is an outreach to men and women incarcerated in the New Jersey State prisons, county jails and halfway houses. Volunteers at the Chapel are assigned a number of inmates and manage their work through mail correspondence. The bible study curriculum includes upwards of 85 graded course studies focusing on Christian doctrine, growth, salvation and future events. The ministry is sponsored by ECS Ministries, Dubuque, Iowa. Presently, several thousand inmates are participating in the ministry state wide by numerous churches. Rutherford Bible Chapel is one of those. This ministry is touching many for Christ!
