Ron has served as an Elder for about 25 years. Ron grew up near Chicago, Illinois (“Go Cubs!”), where he graduated from Wheaton College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He moved to New Jersey in 1970 and married “into” the Chapel. His lovely wife, Linda, keeps him stable. They were married in 1972 and have two children, Jonathan, who is married; and Jason, who died in 1999.
For over 40 years Ron’s has been on the staff of CSB Ministries, an organization that “builds godly men of today and tomorrow.” His responsibility involves counseling churches all over New Jersey and Eastern New York. He’ll be making his fourth trip to Zambia, Africa in 2013 to assist churches develop a ministry of men to boys. He’s active in our own boys’ programs and has a heart for missions. He coordinates the Chapel’s ARISE Groups and with his wife heads up our Stephen Ministry. He is passionate about quality Christian education.
He loves sports, gardening, and maps. He delights to feast on chicken cordon bleu and strawberry-rhubarb pie. He enjoys playing racquetball, listening to classical music and doing the daily Suduku. His “life verse” is Philippians 3:10, “I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his suffering, becoming like him in his death.” You’ll often find him greeting Chapel newcomers and connecting them with others.
